The firm is seeking a Paralegal to support its Mass Torts practice. This role offers hands-on involvement in all phases of litigation, including case management, discovery, legal research, investigations, and trial preparation for sophisticated matters.

The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive legal professional with strong litigation experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with backgrounds as a Litigation Paralegal, Mass Torts Paralegal, Trial Paralegal, Legal Assistant, Case Manager, or Civil Litigation Paralegal are encouraged to apply.

Schedule: Full-time

Compensation: $28-$40 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to prepare, draft, file, and manage litigation documents, pleadings, motions, correspondence, and discovery materials.
  • Conduct legal research, factual investigations, witness and expert outreach, and analysis of information relevant to active litigation matters.
  • Maintain and organize case files, monitor deadlines, track litigation activity, and support overall case management from intake through resolution.
  • Assist with discovery, trial preparation, exhibit coordination, trial binders, court filings, and other activities supporting hearings and trial proceedings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, Associate degree, Paralegal Certificate, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience within a law firm or in-house legal department, preferably supporting litigation matters.
  • 2-3 years of experience with federal civil litigation and California litigation, including familiarity with the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP) and California Code of Civil Procedure (CCP).
  • Preferred experience supporting mass tort litigation, multidistrict litigation (MDL), or Judicial Council Coordinated Proceedings (JCCP).
  • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, legal research, organizational, and case management skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Filevine, Lead Docket, Smart Advocate, and Adobe Acrobat Pro is highly preferred.
